PLAINVILLE — Plainville High School seniors will graduate Thursday, June 15, on the school turf field at Tinty Stadium.
“We’re looking forward to it,” said Maureen Brummett, Superintendent of schools.
The Board of Education approved the date at a recent meeting.
The date is a few days later than last year. Graduation would have been June 9 if it wasn’t for four snow days.
Brummett said this year will be special because it will be Roberto Medic’s first year as principal at graduation.
Last year Steven LePage attended his last graduation as principal and took the position of assistant superintendent.
This will also be the second year that the field will be used for graduation. The field was finished last spring.
The ceremony will be held inside the school in the event of inclement weather.
