WALLINGFORD — A local woman faces charges after police say she trespassed on railroad property.

Veronica Haeberlen, 66, of 4 Michaels Way, was charged Friday with second-degree reckless endangerment, second-degree criminal trespass, assault on police and interfering with police.

About 4 p.m. Friday, police found Haeberlen trespassing on railroad property in the area of Toelles Road by South Colony Road, according to a police report.

Haeberlen failed to identify herself to police and resisted arrested, the report noted. Haeberlen also “put the lives of those on the train in danger,” the report added.

Additional details weren’t immediately available.

Haeberlen was taken into custody and later released on $1,000 bond. She is due to appear in Meriden Superior Court on Oct. 12.
