LEGAL NOTICE Town of Wallingford Taxpayers   The first half installment of Real Estate and Personal Property taxes on the Grand List of October 1, 2018 is due July 1, 2019 and payable on August 1, 2019.  All taxes under $100.00 are payable in a single installment and are due July 1, 2019. No separate mailing will be sent for the second installment.   The total Motor Vehicle tax is due July 1, 2019 and payable on August 1, 2019.  Delinquent motor vehicle taxes shall be paid only in Cash, Money Order, or Bank Check if you require a release to register your motor vehicle.   Checks in payment of property taxes which have been returned by the bank shall be subject to a thirty dollar ($30.00) handling fee.   Failure to receive a tax bill does not invalidate the tax and respective penalties should the account become delinquent. If you have purchased property you may need to contact the previous owner, your attorney, or the Town to procure the bill, to determine the amount due.   If you pay your taxes by check, it is your responsibility to make sure your check has cleared.
