SOUTHINGTON — Plans for a new police station continued to generate controversy. Also contentious was the plan to build a large power plant on Lazy Lane.
Activists helped defeat the power plant idea while the police station was eventually built on an adjacent site on Lazy Lane.
Meanwhile, Golf Quest opened on Jude Lane and Splash Harbor opened at Lake Compounce.
