Klingberg Family Centers announced the addition of Natale “Nate” Teodoro, of Berlin, as outpatient psychotherapy clinic coordinator.
Teodoro completed a master’s degree from the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology, in Palo Alto, Calif., became a steward of in-depth communication from the International Institute of Humanistic Studies, and is a licensed marriage and family therapist.
He has been providing mental health services for over 12 years in non-profit and private sectors, including a private practice, to families, adolescents, children, and couples.
He has more than seven years of experience overseeing and developing therapists and is in the process of acquiring his American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy approved supervisor designation.
Teodoro ascribes his interest in working at Klingberg to the organization’s high concentration of family therapists and expertise in addressing trauma.
“The approach of family therapy,” he says, “is to involve the whole family system, which is more effective long-term than simply addressing its effects on one member.” He also cites Klingberg’s high rate of Marriage and Family Therapy supervisor designations as an example of the OPC’s high quality and focus on continuing education.
Klingberg’s Outpatient Psychotherapy Clinic offers counseling for children struggling with issues such as behavioral problems, ADHD, anxiety, posttraumatic stress disorders, depression, school difficulties, oppositional behavior, aggression, grief and loss. Services include individual, family and group therapy as well as psychiatric and medication management services.
