Fairgoers can skip the Berlin Fair ticket line this year.

Fair President John Zarotney said the Lions Club decided to sell tickets through the fair’s website to allow people to get inside faster.

“If it’s as hot as it was last year we want to get people in the fair and not cooking in the sun,” he said.

Those buying tickets ahead of time can save some money on food. A promotional code on the fair’s website also unlocks a 30 percent discount.

The Lions Club also revealed more than a dozen musicians who will play, with genres ranging from country to 1980s rock.

“It’s a good variety. It hopefully pleases people’s different tastes in music,” Zarotney said.

The 1980s cover band Aquanett, known for performing songs by Ozzy Osbourne, Metallica, Bon Jovi and Poison, will headline Friday night alongside Braiden Sunshine, a blues musician who appeared on NBC’s “The Voice.”

Saturday brings the Led Zeppelin tribute band Physical Graffiti, The Machine, which performs Pink Floyd songs, and Branded, a Waterford-based country band. The Steve Daggett Band will play country on Sunday, followed by Neon Circus, a tribute of the country duo Brooks and Dunn.

Other acts playing throughout the weekend include the Shiny Lapel Trio and Frank Breen on Friday, Jake Kulak and the Lowdown and Ryan Hart and the Blue Hearts on Saturday, and Vitamin B-3 and River City Slim and the Zydeco Hogs on Sunday.

Zarotney said he’s seen a trend form in the past few years of fairs booking tribute and cover bands. “I think we’ve gotten a lot of positive feedback on them,” he said.
