BERLIN – The Town Council recently approved the hiring two new town employees.
MarekKozikowski, currently employed by the town of Greenwich, was hired as the new Town Planner to replace HellynRiggins, who resigned in October.
Kozikowski was selected from a pool of four finalists interviewed by a panel consisting of Acting Town Manager Jack Healy, Economic Development Director Chris Edge, Planning and Zoning Commission Chairman Bruce Moore, PZC member Joan Veley, and Mayor Mark Kaczynski.
The new town planner’s salary will be $84,155.
Christine Sullivan will become administrative assistant to the town manager when Sheila Wagner retires Jan. 16.
The position was advertised internally and externally. Sullivan was among six candidates interviewed by a panel consisting of Healy, Wagner, Human Resource Director Denise Parsons, Town Clerk Kate Wall and Finance Director Kevin Delaney.
Sullivan’s annual salary will be $45,808.
