This past Labor Day I heard sirens on my way to a family gathering. I was reminded that our first responders – police, firemen, EMTs – and some town employees never get to celebrate an uninterrupted Labor Day.
Without the dedication of these valiant individuals we would lose the protection we have come to expect and often take for granted.
As we reflect on the contributions of our first responders, please join me to go out of our way, as they do every day, to thank our heroes whenever we have the opportunity to speak with them.

Since the town has improved its bond rating, why haven't we started with the project near the train station? The area has been vacant for too long; not earning property taxes for the town. I also think that would be a good spot for the Senior Center and school board.
