The Berlin Police Department, in cooperation with the Drug Enforcement Administration, has scheduled a “Drug Take Back” event Saturday, Oct. 27, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the upper parking lot of Town Hall, 240 Kensington Road.
The “Drug Take Back” initiative allows the public to surrender pharmaceutical controlled substances and other medications to law enforcement officers for destruction.
Unused medicine that is flushed down the drain can result in contamination of ground and surface water.
The event is free of charge, and anonymous. No questions will be asked. Berlin residents can drop unwanted and expired drugs in a curbside box, without getting out of their vehicle.
