Berlin Police Department promotes two



The Berlin Police Department promoted Sergeant Drew Gallupe to the rank of lieutenant and Officer Ryan Gould to the rank of sergeant at its recent Police Commission meeting.

Gallupe has served with the Berlin Police Department for 25 years, the past 14 as a patrol sergeant. He served in the United Marine Reserves and in the Berlin Police Department has served as a Field Training Officer, taught the DARE program for 11 years, served as Traffic Officer for four years, and is Commander of the Dive Team.

Gallupe has received the Jeffrey Casner Award, two Chief’s Achievement Awards and five Life Saving Awards.

Gould has served with the Berlin Police Department for almost 17 years. He is a former United States Army Ranger and has served in the Berlin Police Department in the Detective Bureau, as a Field Training Officer, Use of Force Instructor, and Traffic Officer.

For the past two years, Gould has been a member of the regional Mid-State Accident Reconstruction Squad.
