CHESHIRE — A local man charged with aggravated sexual assault last week allegedly threatened a woman with a gun and knife, according to court documents.

Mark Lacy, 32, of 176 Wallingford Road, was arrested on Friday and charged with first-degree aggravated sexual assault, second-degree strangulation, first-degree threatening, risk of injury to a minor, first-degree unlawful restraint, and third-degree assault.

A woman reported being sexually assaulted by Lacy inside the home on Friday morning, according to a police report. The woman said Lacy threatened her with a gun and knife during the incident, the report said. Police noted she had visible injuries and she was taken to the hospital for treatment. A young child was also in the home at the time.

Police responded to the home and took Lacy into custody without incident.

Lacy was arraigned in Meriden Superior Court on Monday. Bond was set at $1 million and the case was transferred to New Haven Superior Court, where Lacy is scheduled to appear on Feb. 19. Two protective orders were entered, both barring Lacy from any contact with the subject of the order. The orders also included a 100-yard stay away condition.
