CHESHIRE — Court proceedings are ongoing for a man who police said broke into a woman’s home last year, stole $200, and threatened her with a gun.

Shannon Johnson, 30, of 110 Buckingham St., Waterbury, last appeared in court on Jan. 17 and is due back in court on March 14. On May 11, 2018 he was charged with home invasion, first-degree robbery and third-degree criminal mischief. Johnson pleaded not guilty to the charges on Sept. 4 and is free on $75,000 bond.

On March 16, a woman on Woodbridge Court reported that Johnson – who she previously purchased marijuana from –  forced his way inside her home and demanded $300 for marijuana, according to Johnson’s arrest warrant. The woman told police Johnson threw things around her home and brandished a handgun, the warrant said. Johnson then reportedly stole $200 before leaving.
