CHESHIRE — A local man faces charges after police said a neighbor recorded images of him taking speakers from a home where he rents a room in May.
Gino Rizzo, 24, of 228 Mansion Road, was charged July 5 with fourth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit fourth-degree larceny.
On May 10, the neighbor sent images of Rizzo removing speakers from a locked area of a home to the home owner, according to a police report. Rizzo rents a room in the house.
Police reviewed the images, which showed Rizzo and a woman placing speakers in the trunk of a vehicle. The owner gave police a receipt for the speakers, showing he purchased them for about $1,300.
Police attempted to contact Rizzo, but were unsuccessful, the report said. His bond was set at $500.
