The Southington Public Library and Bread for Life are happy to announce Bread for Life’s very first art exhibit. The library has held a coloring group at Bread for Life for well over a year. We introduced coloring to de-stress clients and just have them concentrate on the task at hand. It has been successful in doing that, but has also unveiled some very creative and talented artists.
Elizabeth Chubet has been the coordinator of this program along with Donna Ayers and Missy Cipriano. The group has become a very special part of the adult outreach part of Elizabeth’s job. The clients are such a pleasure to work with and we have formed some nice friendships along the way.
Come and check out this very meaningful exhibit. It’s much more than just the artwork, it’s about community.
Exhibits at The Gallery at the Southington Public Library are on display during the regular business hours of the library, Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Gallery is located on the main level near the Café.
