Functioning with a grant from the Cuno Foundation, the Meriden Hall of Fame Association brought together three community organizations, the Meriden Hall of Fame, Meriden Historical Society, and Meriden Public Library together in support of student research into local history. The Meriden History Research Experience was designed to help students from Platt and Maloney High School learn and practice the skills of being a historian. This innovative and unprecedented collaboration between the three organizations and the Meriden Public Schools was planned to generate student-driven nominations for this year’s annual ballot.

It resulted in a number of student submissions being included on the 2019 ballot. Full Hall of Fame membership and voting information may be found on www.meridenhalloffame.org or by calling Joe Zajac at 203 -237-7689.How to vote. To be eligible to vote you must be a paid member of the Hall of Fame Association. The membership application must be received by April 1. After that date, the Association will close membership and begin the balloting process by mailing current members the actual ballot, balloting requirements, and biographical information on each nominee. Completed ballots must be returned by May 15, 2019 to be tabulated. All members will be invited to the Hall of Fame Annual Meeting for the announcement of the 2019 Inductees.
