CCALC Civil War Buff or Looking to Solve a Murder

Peter Warren, a resident of Middlebury, is currently the author of six novels. Among them are two Civil War novels and four murder mysteries.

A retired major from the Connecticut State Police, he is a graduate of both the University of New Haven, and the FBI National Academy. His novels have received favorable reviews. After discussing his writing, he answered questions. He signed books for CCALC members.

The Castle Craig Adult Learning Center, an affiliate of Middlesex Community College, has been in existence since 1999. A group composed of Middlesex Community College administrators met with a group of people from Meriden who were interested in starting a learning center for seniors.

The first brochure for courses was offered for the Fall Semester 1999. Since then CCALC has planned courses in history, science, literature, sports, and the arts. We have also planned interesting trips to the theater, museums and various historic sites. Membership is open to anyone 55 years of age and older. We have had members from Meriden, Wallingford, Cheshire, Southington and Middletown.
