What better way to think ahead to spring than to plant succulents and make lavender sachets! That's just what residents of Quinnipiac Valley did this week at the Garden Therapy Activity. The Wallingford Garden Club Garden Therapy Group provided the pots, soil, rocks and succulents for residents to plant and take back to their rooms. Adding a heart on a stick gave a bright spot to the planter. Christine Salisbury, Kathy Bryson and Deb Tagliatela helped residents with this project and we all shared jokes and laughs. Then we poured lavender flower heads into cloth bags that Deb Tagliatela had made. And what a wonderful smell ! Residents will put these in their drawers or closets to give a hint of spring.
