On May 21, the Unison Club hosted an awards dinner and presented four Wilcox trade awards, two Italian language awards and one four-year college scholarship award. The four Wilcox trade awards were given to those students who excelled in their trade as well as exemplified the core values of the Unison Club: Derlyn Hernandez, Electronics; Chnoa Manso-Vargas, Health Tech; Sir’Pream Munn, Carpentry; Kaitlyn Haniewski, HVAC.
The Italian language awards were given to one student from Platt High School and one from Maloney High School. The students were selected based on their interest in continuing to grow in their learning of the Italian language: Martha Chatman, Platt High School; Ryan Cotrona, Maloney High School.
The four-year scholarship award winner was selected based on multiple measures, including educational excellence, extra-curricular activities and overall enthusiasm: Martha Chatman, Platt High School, received this award.
