The Maloney High School DECA program participated in the New York City Experience. The 19 business education students had a packed itinerary that included tours of Planet Hollywood, Madame Tussauds, Empire State Building, Radio City Music Hall, the Financial District, and Madison Square Garden. The students also heard speakers which included: The Marketing Director of both Madison Square Garden and Madame Tussauds, the Operation Director of Planet Hollywood, professors from Berkley University, and business executives from Radio City. The students were also able to tour a Public Relations firm in Manhattan, N.Y.
Students asked questions and learned about the real-work of a public relations executive. The entertainment for these students included seeing Mamma Mia, Wicked, the UCONN verse Indiana basketball game, and the Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular.
