WALLINGFORD — Hershey is a 2-year-old black-furred cat up for adoption at Wallingford Animal Control, 5 Pent Road.

“She's very sweet and affectionate, but she's not super outgoing, so she kind of just hangs back in her cage,” assistant animal control officer Rachel Amenta said.

Hershey has been at the shelter for several months. She is a long-haired domestic cat and doesn’t have any known health issues.

She would do best in a quieter home “that doesn't have a lot of noise and chaos going on,” Amenta said.

Because Hershey isn’t outgoing, she doesn’t stand out to those visiting the shelter.

“If people came in and met her and gave her a chance they would totally fall in love,” Amenta said. “People just need to open her cage and pet her and give her a chance.”

To inquire about adopting Hershey, contact the animal shelter at 203-294-2180 or at info@wallingfordanimalcontrol.com
