MERIDEN — A ranch on three acres in the southeast corner of the city is for sale after extensive renovations and upgrades.
The four-bedroom, three-bathroom home at 323 Fleming Road is on the market for $312,500.
A contractor bought the formerly foreclosed home and renovated not only the inside but added a deck to the pool and other exterior implements according to Linda Bohne, the listing agent.
“If you could have seen the before and after, they don’t look anywhere the same,” she said.
The 2,400 square-foot house has hardwood floors, new tile and tongue-and-groove ceilings.
Bohne said the contractor was “very meticulous” with the renovations.
“He went in there and room by room redid it,” she said.
Two of the three acres are subdivided for sale or the building of a house for a family member Bohne said.
“They are selling it all together,” she said. “You get the three acres, but two of them you could sell off at some point.”
There’s also ample outdoor storage with multiple sheds and a small barn. The backyard features a pool with a new deck.
The next owner could easily add a kitchen to the walk-in basement, according to Bohne. There’s a wet bar there in addition to two bedrooms. The basement is level with the driveway.
Close to the Wallingford and Middlefield town lines, the house has a country atmosphere. Bohne said it has attracted many viewers.
“We’re getting a lot of showings,” she said.
