Residents brave the bitter cold for some winter fun

With temperatures under the freezing mark for more than a week, many residents took to the outdoors for some winter fun.

In Middlefield, people stopped to check out the frozen waterfall at Wadsworth Falls State Park. The normally large falls turned to a mountain of ice in the frigid temperatures.

At Black Pond in Meriden, several anglers ventured out onto the frozen water for some ice fishing.
