Area residents can look forward to a variety of Independence Day fireworks displays and celebrations.
The City of Meriden will host its annual Fourth of July celebration on July 3 with fireworks in Hubbard Park at 9:15 p.m. Live entertainment and food will be available. The rain date is July 5.
The Town of Wallingford will host its annual fireworks display near Sheehan High School July 6 at 9:30 p.m. Spectators will be able to see the display in public parking areas. There is no rain date set.
In Bristol, Lake Compounce will host a fireworks show Saturday, June 29 at 9:30 p.m. Park admission is required.
In New Britain, the Parks and Recreation Department will host The Great American Boom on July 4 at Stanley Quarter Park at 5 p.m. A fireworks display will begin at 9:15 p.m. Also on July 4, after the New Britain Bee’s Game, a fireworks display will take place at the stadium.
The City of Middletown will host a fireworks festival Saturday, June 29 at 5 p.m. at Harbor Park. Live music, food vendors, and family activities will be available throughout the night. The fireworks display will start at 9:30 p.m.
