MERIDEN — City and state police are searching for a Meriden man in Hubbard Park.

Multiple cruisers and fire engines responded to the park at 979 W. Main St. about 10 a.m. Meriden police Sgt. John Mennone said authorities were searching for a 42-year-old Meriden man.

According to his family, the man was recently experiencing a medical issue and his car has been at the park for about two days, police said.

A state police search dog unit, city police detectives and firefighters were at the scene. Mennone said the search has been difficult due to weather and terrain.

“Because of the weather we want to try to locate him as soon as possible,” Mennone told reporters in the park.

Police did not release the man’s name.
