Man charged after Meriden police find marijuana during traffic stop



MERIDEN — A Waterbury man faces charges after police said he was found with marijuana packaged for sale during a traffic stop.

Jerome Wilson, 42, of 41 Ives St., was charged Wednesday with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, sale of controlled substance and failure to obey stop sign.

Officers conducted a traffic stop after they observed Wilson fail to stop at a stop sign around 12:30 a.m., Police said they found marijuana packaged for sale in the car along with a scale.

Bond was set at $1,000 and Wilson is due in court Nov. 19.
