MERIDEN — A city man faces charges after police said a pistol discharged inside a home on Wednesday.
Judson Corbit, 36, of 16 Locust St., was charged with illegal discharge of a firearm and first-degree reckless endangerment.
Police responded to the home on Locust Street about 5 p.m. A relative reported coming home and finding Corbit with a pistol and several rounds of ammunition on his lap, according to a police report. The gun discharged in a struggle with the relative and one round was fired through the window.
Corbit was arraigned in Meriden Superior Court on Thursday and released on a promise to appear in court on Sept. 12, with the condition he complies with a treatment program and does not possess any firearms.
