MERIDEN — Police are investigating after gunshots were fired at a house on Broad Street late Friday night.

An elderly man was in the home at 176 Broad St. (Route 5), but no injuries were reported, said police spokesman Lt. John Mennone. The incident was reported around 11 p.m. The house is located near Ann Street.

Police retrieved rounds at the scene, Mennone said.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact Detective Joe Robison at 203-630-6267.

On April 26, gunshots were fired into City Tavern, 521 Broad St., and an apartment above. That incident is also under investigation.
