MERIDEN — Police are investigating after a flaming object was reportedly thrown through a window on Colony Street on Tuesday.
The incident occurred in the area of 37 Colony St., just north of Church Street, about 4:45 p.m., according to the Meriden police website. The object was reportedly extinguished shortly after the incident was reported. Police said there was a small break in a window and what appeared to be a burn mark left by the object. The incident is being investigated as a minor criminal mischief, police said.
The on-call fire marshal were requested to respond to the scene.
