Residents continued to scrape away the icy remnants from the weekend storm Tuesday, but relief is in sight.
Some residents emerged from the cold snap to explore the still frozen landscapes in temperatures that proved a little less jarring. The sun sparkling through icy trees provided quite a sight. Other residents took time to chip and scrape the ice from tops of vehicles.
The National Weather Service forecast calls for temperatures in the 40s on Wednesday with rain moving in and temperatures near 50 on Thursday. Thursday night, however, the temperature will drop back into the low 20s.
