Man struck by car in downtown Meriden



 

 

MERIDEN — A man was injured and taken to the hospital after he was struck by a car in downtown Meriden Friday morning.

The incident occurred about 9:40 a.m. near the intersection of Pratt and East Main streets. Lt. Tom Cossette said a man was struck by a car traveling about 10 mph.

The man suffered a leg injury and abrasions and was taken to Hartford Hospital, Cossette said.

The driver of the car will not face charges, Cossette said.
