MERIDEN — A New Haven man faces DUI charges after police said he drove his vehicle on the train tracks early Monday.
Keith Edwards, 47, of 537 Middletown Ave., New Haven, was charged with driving under the influence, reckless driving, possession of narcotics and improper lane.
Police responded to the tracks along North Colony Street around 4 a.m. and learned Edwards drove on them and became stuck, said Sgt. Darrin McKay.
Police determined Edwards, who refused to take a breath alcohol test, was intoxicated, McKay said. He was released on $1,500 bond and is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on Sept. 14.
