MERIDEN — A city man faces charges after police said he was found in a stolen car Sunday.
Fazil Itsinzi, 26, of 71 Catlin St., was charged with third-degree larceny.
The incident began when an officer saw Itsinzi getting out of a Honda CRV in front of 71 Catlin St. around 5:45 p.m., according to a police report. The officer ran the Honda’s registration plate, discovered it was reported stolen and took Itsinzi into custody.
The owner reported that two laptops, two external hard drives, a pair of headphones and other personal property were in the Honda when it was stolen, the report said. The total value of the items, which were not in the vehicle when it was recovered, was about $2,500.
Itsinzi was arraigned in Meriden Superior Court on Monday and released on a promise to appear in court on Sept. 5.
