Police: Meriden man dead, Waterbury man hospitalized after incident on Pratt Street

MERIDEN — Police say a city man is dead and a Waterbury man was hospitalized after they were found outside a car at a downtown intersection Wednesday night.

Police spokesman Sgt. Christopher Fry said Thursday that foul play is not suspected.

Around 7 p.m. Wednesday, an officer working a private duty job was approached by a passerby who said there were two men in the parking lot of the Meriden Glass Company, 232 Pratt St., that appeared to be dead, Fry said. The officer found the two men unconscious outside a car.

Dajon Robinson, 22, of Meriden, was pronounced dead and NasirReaves, 23, of Waterbury was brought to a hospital, Fry said. Reaves regained consciousness at the hospital.

The incident is under investigation. No charges have been filed.
