MERIDEN — A local man faces charges after police said he sexually assaulted a child on multiple occasions last year.
Caz Alicea, 29, of 84 Alcove St., second floor, was charged Thursday with first-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor.
On April 25, 2017, a woman reported her young child was sexually assaulted by a friend of the family. During a forensic interview, the child described sexual acts occurring from 2014 to 2015 involving Alicea, according to a police report.
Alicea was arraigned in Meriden Superior Court on Friday. The judge set bond at $150,000 and transferred the case to New Haven Superior Court for Jan. 23. A protective order was issued.
