MERIDEN — A city woman faces charges after police said she was involved in a rollover crash last week.
Michelle Jorge-Morales, 24, of 17 N. Third St., was charged by summons with reckless driving, driving too fast for conditions, following too close, failure to maintain lane, and operating a motor vehicle with a learner’s permit without proper instructor.
Police responded to the area of 882 N. Colony Road around 8:45 p.m. last Thursday for a two-car accident, according to police spokesman Sgt. Christopher Fry. Officers determined Jorge-Morales struck a car traveling in front of her that was making a left turn. Her vehicle rolled over as a result of the collision, Fry said.
The driver of the other vehicle was taken to the hospital, Fry said.
Jorge-Morales was not injured. She is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on June 22.
