Woman charged with assaulting nurse at MidState Medical Center in Meriden

MERIDEN — A Waterbury woman faces charges after police said she assaulted a nurse at MidState Medical Center earlier this month.

Brianna Kennedy, 31, of 114 Benedict St., Waterbury was charged by warrant on Friday with assault on emergency room personnel and breach of peace. She was arraigned in Meriden Superior Court on Monday and released on a promise to appear in court on Nov. 6.

On Sept. 5 police responded to the hospital for a report that a patient assaulted a nurse. Police spoke with a nurse who said Kennedy hit her three times in the arm and threatened to kill her, according to Kennedy’s arrest warrant.
