MERIDEN — Police are investigating after a man said he was shot in the leg in the city earlier this week.
On Thursday about 12:45 a.m. police were called to MidState Medical Center for a report of a man with a gunshot wound to his upper thigh. Officers spoke to the man, who was not identified, and reported he was only able to provide a broad location where the alleged shooting took place, said police spokesman Sgt. Darrin McKay said.
The man was transferred to Hartford Hospital for further treatment, McKay said.
