Meriden police investigate reported robbery of pizza delivery driver

MERIDEN — Police are investigating after a pizza delivery driver reported being robbed late Tuesday by three men who used pepper spray.

Police responded to Franklin Street and Park Avenue around 11:55 p.m. for a report of a robbery. The delivery driver, who works for Domino’s Pizza, reported three men tried to “jump” him and used pepper spray, according to a police report. The men took bags of food.

There were no injuries reported and the suspects missed the man’s eyes with the pepper spray, the report said. No other information was immediately available.
