MERIDEN — A section of Bee Street has reopened after a car struck a utility pole Tuesday morning.

The crash was reported around 6:25 a.m. in the area of 152 Bee St., according to the police department’s website.

A Jeep was off the road on the grass with debris behind it. A utility pole was hanging from the wires it was attached to, and crews from Eversource Energy and Frontier were on scene. The crash was initially reported with injuries, but once officers were on scene the driver of the vehicle declined medical attention, police said.

The section of road was closed while crews worked to repair the damage, police said.
