Two Meriden police officers promoted to rank of corporal



MERIDEN — Two city police officers were recently promoted to the rank of corporal.

Officers Marc Lavoie and Eric Shean received the promotion. To be appointed to corporal, officers “must have at least 15 years of honorable service with the city.”

Officers must also be recommended by their supervisors, watch commander, and senior command staff, and are required to receive approval from the police chief.
