Meriden house fire put out quickly

MERIDEN — Fire crews responded to Orient Street on Monday afternoon, swiftly knocking down an attic fire.

The fire at 65 Orient St., a two-story house, was reported around 3:30 p.m.

It was contained to the attic and all occupants of the home got out safely, according to emergency disptach reports.
