North Haven Garden Club celebrated its 65th anniversary year-end meeting and dinner on Thursday June 13 at Edgerton Gardens Carriage House in New Haven.
Jean Byer gave a guided tour of the gardens and greenhouses along with a brief overview of the mansion and gardens of Edgerton.
Following the tour, club members gathered at the Carriage House on the park grounds.
Founding member Lois Stover was presented a corsage by past president Lynda O'Donnell. The Installation Ceremony was conducted by Lois Gough, inducting Bene' Jalonski as president, James Grillo as vice president, Cindy Golia as treasurer, Gerri Giordano as recording secretary, Ellie Tessmer as corresponding secretary and Marge Quinn and Lee Fermo as past presidents.
Another ceremony took place to honor the club’s 40-year “life” members, who were given commemorative pins. The life members are Lois Stover, Lois Gough, Amy Salvati, Annette Bailey, Gloria Peach, Marie Tiberio, Gerri Giordano and Rita Gangi.
Garden Club members Annette Bailey, Maria Tiberio and Gloria Peach made table arrangements for the buffet table and smaller ones for the dining tables. The flowers were from Bailey's garden.
