NORTH HAVEN — Police have identified the infant that died last week as Logan Charpentier.
As of Wednesday, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner had not yet determined a cause of death.
Police responded to a home on Fortune Drive Friday for a report of an infant that was not breathing, according to police spokesman Capt. Kevin Glenn. The infant was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital and pronounced dead shortly after 3 p.m.
Police learned the father was taking care of the infant, and the mother arrived home to find that the child was not breathing
Police and the state’s attorney’s office are investigating.
