In recognition of both Black History Month and Plainville's 150th anniversary, the Historical Society has scheduled a free program on local African-American history for Saturday, Feb. 16, 2 p.m., at the Plainville Historical Center, 29 Pierce St.
Presented by Gail Johnson Williams, the program will cover historical highlights as well as individual persons, groups and families (such as the Johnson and Mason families) who have contributed to Plainville's history over the years.
