Southington police: Local man broke into garage, tried to steal scooter battery



 

SOUTHINGTON — A local man has been charged after police said he broke into a garage and tried to steal a battery from a scooter.

Noah Cadrain, 21, of 197 Bristol St., was charged with third-degree burglary, criminal attempt to commit sixth-degree larceny, possession of burglary tools and carrying a dangerous weapon. He was initially held on $5,000 bond.

Cadrain fled the garage but was found nearby in another garage with a large knife and a screwdriver, Lt, Stephen Elliott said.
