Power restored to 300 homes in Southington after winds take down wires

SOUTHINGTON — Almost 300 Eversource Energy customers were without power after strong winds took down wires on South End Road on Friday.

The incident was reported about 12:45 p.m. Power was restored about 4:15 p.m.

A section of South End Road was closed but reopened about 1:45 p.m.
