SOUTHINGTON – An Italian fast-casual chain restaurant opened Tuesday at the TA Travel Center in Milldale.
Fazoli's, which serves pizza, pasta, sandwiches and other dinners, is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. at the TA Travel Center, 1875 Meriden-Waterbury Turnpike, the company said in a statement. The location is the chain’s first in the northeast.
“Fazoli’s debut in the northeast is a reflection of the brand’s continuous growth and development,” said Sam Nelson, Fazoli’s vice president of franchise recruitment and development. “Fazoli’s freshly prepared Italian cuisine is perfect for both interstate travelers and local residents on-the-go. We are excited to introduce the residents of Connecticut to fast, fresh Italian done the right way.”
The chain announced a partnership in April with TA Restaurant Group of TravelCenters of America.
"Our mission at Fazoli's is to serve America premium quality Italian food, fast, fresh and friendly,” Fazoli’s president and CEO Carl Howard said in the statement. "I can't think of a better opportunity to do this than on America's highways with a company like TravelCenters."
