Southington police: New Britain man stole $2,000 worth of merchandise from home improvement store where he was employed

SOUTHINGTON — A New Britain man is accused of stealing more than $2,000 worth of plumbing supplies and a leaf blower from a home improvement store where he worked.

Michael Criniti, 44, of 140 Collins St., New Britain, was charged on Nov. 29 with third-degree larceny. He was released on $5,000 bond.

Criniti is accused of stealing more than $2,000 worth of plumbing supplies and a leaf blower from a home improvement store where he was employed, Lt. Stephen Elliot said in a statement. Store loss prevention staff reported it to police.

Additional details were not immediately available.
