Police: Middletown woman stole more than $20,000 in jewelry, coins from Southington home



SOUTHINGTON — A Middletown woman faces charges after police said she broke into a local home and stole more than $20,000 worth of jewelry and coins. 

Molly Rothschild, 26, of Middletown, was charged Monday with first-degree larceny and third-degree burglary. 

On May 11, police investigated a residential burglary on Meriden-Waterbury Turnpike. Police determined Rothschild entered a home and stole the jewelry and a container with about $500 in change, said police spokesman Sgt. Jeffrey Dobratz.

Rothschild’s bond was set at $20,000.
