SOUTHINGTON — A Newington man faces charges after police said he sexually assaulted a woman in February.
Richard Hancock, 44, of 10 Pebble Drive, was arrested on Aug. 10 and charged with first-degree sex assault, third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.
On Feb. 7, a woman reported being sexually assaulted by Hancock at her home in Southington in December, according to police spokesman Sgt. Jeffrey Dobratz. The woman and Hancock were acquaintances at the time, and she went to a local hospital for treatment.
Hancock was arraigned in Bristol Superior Court last week. Bond was set at $75,000 and he is due back in court on Sept. 4.
